ABOUT ME
I have completed my Ph.D at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (An institution of National Importance). I completed my Masters and Bachelors at the prestigious Deparment of Physics and Astrophysics at University of Delhi, Delhi with a specialization in Lasers and Spectroscopy. My entire school education was completed in Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.

I am currently Assistant Professor of Physics at MIT World Peace University, Pune. I have been previously associated as Assistant Professor at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan.
My research interest is in theoretical physics in the area of Non-linear Optics. In particular, I am investigating spatial solitons in photorefractive materials. Photorefractive materials are an attractive medium for research on optical solitons due to the saturable nature of the non-linearity. I am interested in the coupling, dynamical evolution and stability of solitons in photorefractive media. Photorefractive media present a medium which can interact quite complicatedly with other underlying properties like pyroelectricity and photovoltaic effects. In addition, I wish to expand my research into more exotic areas like Nematicons and solitons in BE condensates.
